AUKEY PB-Y14 with Nintendo Switch. Cable not included.

We got a Nintendo Direct and a separate launch trailer for the next generation Pokémon game, exclusive to the Nintendo Switch. Not bad for the shortest month of the year.

Here are the best selling power banks and chargers from that same month.

Best Selling USB-C Power Banks on Amazon

AUKEY PB-Y14 20000 USB-CReview

  • Speed Rating: Good
  • Safety Rating: Safe
  • Capacity: ~3.1 Switch chargers, good for 9+ hours extra playtime

Big is nice, but big and cheap is better. AUKEY offers this regular USB-C power bank with large capacity. What you lose in charge speed (still enough to keep up with your gaming) you get back in dollars saved. You’ll need to buy a separate USB-C to USB-C cable.

Anker PowerCore+ 26800 PD w/PowerPort Speed 1 USB-C | Review

  • Speed Rating: Great
  • Safety Rating: Safe
  • Capacity: ~3.3 Switch chargers, good for 10+ hours extra playtime

This is about as big as power banks come. Any bigger and you’ll need to check with your airline to see if it is allowed on the plane. It’ll charge the Switch while you play, and will give you at least 11 extra hours of game time. The included Anker charger (also a best seller) will charge the power bank and Switch equally well.

Omars SlimPack 10000 USB-C

  • Speed Rating: Good
  • Safety Rating: Safe
  • Capacity: ~1.4 Switch chargers, good for 4+ hours extra playtime

One of the cheapest USB-C power banks on the market. It doesn’t have any distinguishing features or specs. But works for charging while you play and 10,000mAh is enough for most people’s days. You’ll need to buy a separate USB-C to USB-C cable.

RAVPower Turbo 20100

  • Speed Rating: Good
  • Safety Rating: Safe
  • Capacity: ~3 Switch chargers, good for 9+ hours extra playtime

Not as good of a deal as the 20,000mAh AUKEY above, but still a solid and good sized power bank for your Switch and other small devices. You’ll need to buy a separate USB-C to USB-C cable.

AUKEY PB-Y13 10000 USB-C PD | Review

  • Speed Rating: Good+
  • Safety Rating: Safe
  • Capacity: ~1.4 Switch chargers, good for 4+ hours extra playtime

A super slim USB-C PD power bank. Its 18W USB-C PD output will charge the Switch faster than regular USB-C, but not as fast as larger USB-C PD power banks (12W vs 18W). It can also fast charge your iPhone 8/X or Google Pixel. And the Quick Charge 3.0 port will fast charge most Samsung, Motorola, and other QC supporting Android phones. You’ll need to buy a separate USB-C to USB-C cable.

Apple 12W USB Power AdapterReview

  • Speed Rating: Good
  • Safety Rating: Nintendo Suggested
  • Also Good For: iPhone, iPad

Not a USB-C charger, but it acts like one with the Switch. It is the only single port USB-A charger known to output more than the Switch uses. So it can keep up with long gaming hours. You’ll need to buy a separate USB-C to USB-A cable.

Anker PowerPort Speed+ Duo

  • Speed Rating: Great
  • Safety Rating: Safe
  • Also Good For: Phone, Tablet, Power Bank, 12-inch Laptop

One of several Anker dual port chargers. This is the mid priced model with good 30W USB-C PD output and regular USB-A output. Good for charging your Switch or other small to mid sized USB-C device while charging an older USB device more slowly on the USB-A port. You’ll need to buy a separate USB-C to USB-C cable.

Anker PowerPort II PDReview

  • Speed Rating: Great
  • Safety Rating: USB-IF Certified
  • Also Good For: Phone, Tablet, Power Bank, 12-inch Laptop, and Quick Charge 3.0 Devices

One of several Anker dual port chargers. This is the high priced model (still under $30) with good 30W USB-C PD output and PowerIQ 2.0. The new PowerIQ 2.0 mimic Quick Charge 3.0. It can fast charge Samsung, Motorola, and other QC supporting Android phones.  You’ll need to buy a separate USB-C to USB-C cable.

Anker PowerPort PD 2

  • Speed Rating: Great
  • Safety Rating: Safe
  • Also Good For: Phone, Tablet

One of several Anker dual port chargers. This is the low priced model with 18W USB-C PD output and regular USB-A output. It charges a handheld Switch as well as its more expensive siblings. But it isn’t good for USB-C PD power banks or small laptops. You’ll need to buy a separate USB-C to USB-C cable.

Anker PowerPort Speed 1 USB-C, 60W

  • Speed Rating: Superb
  • Safety Rating: USB-IF Certified
  • Also Good For: Phone, Tablet, Power Bank, 15-inch Laptop

Not to be confused with Anker’s other PowerPort Speed 1 USB-C. This model outputs 60W, enough to power most USB-C laptops. It can also power the Nintendo Switch while docked. Anker’s listing says it won’t support the Switch in TV mode, but my testing has shown otherwise.

Anker PowerPort Speed PD 5

  • Speed Rating: Great
  • Safety Rating: USB-IF Certified
  • Also Good For: Phone, Tablet, Power Bank, 12-inch Laptop

Anker’s 5 port desktop charging will keep your Switch charged during gameplay. As well as your phone, tablet, headphones, your friend’s phone, etc. It’ll handle smaller USB-C laptops fine. You’ll need to buy a separate USB-C to USB-C cable.

Best Selling USB-C Car Chargers on Amazon

Nekteck 5.4A USB-C Car Charger

  • Speed Rating: Good
  • Safety Rating: USB-IF Certified
  • Also Good For: Phone, Tablet

Nekteck’s regular USB-C car charger meets the needs of most USB-C owners. It is fast enough to charge the Switch while you play, if slower than other options. Its USB-A port will charge phones at the same time. Be aware of its built-in, 3.3 foot USB-C cable. Make sure it’ll reach where you need it to.

Meagoes Series CC QC3.0 & PD Car USB Adapter

  • Speed Rating: Good+
  • Safety Rating: Safe
  • Also Good For: Phone, Tablet

A new comer to USB-C charging, its low price seems to be helping it rank. The USB-C port will charge a Switch while you play. The USB-A port supports Quick Charge 3.0 for compatible Android phones. It includes a 3.3 feet USB-C to USB-C cable.

Anker PowerDrive PD 2

  • Speed Rating: Great
  • Safety Rating: Safe
  • Also Good For: Phone, Tablet

One of several USB-C car chargers from Anker. This one is cheaper than the others. But it provides fewer USB-C power profiles. It’ll still charge a handheld Switch fast while playing. And the USB-A port will provide a normal charge to most phones. You’ll need to buy a separate USB-C to USB-C cable.

Anker PowerDrive Speed+ 2Review

  • Speed Rating: Great
  • Safety Rating: USB-IF Certified
  • Also Good For: Phone, Tablet, Power Bank, 12-inch Laptop

Anker’s faster USB-C car charger. It charges the Switch at the same rate as the cheaper version above. But it can also handle larger USB-C devices. And the Power IQ 2.0 on the USB-A port will support Quick Charge 3.0 phones. You’ll need to buy a separate USB-C to USB-C cable.

Anker PowerDrive Speed+ Duo

  • Speed Rating: Great
  • Safety Rating: Safe
  • Also Good For: Phone, Tablet, Power Bank, 12-inch Laptop

An older version of the Anker PowerDrive Speed+ 2. USB-C specs and Switch performance are the same. This model is missing Power IQ 2.0, meaning it won’t support Quick Charge devices. If your phone doesn’t support Quick Charge you might save a few dollars with this version. You’ll need to buy a separate USB-C to USB-C cable.
