Review of the RAVPower PD Pioneer 20000 18W
- Output: 18W USB-C PD, Quick Charge 3.0
- Capacity: 30,000mAh
- USB-C, micro-USB, or Lightning input options
The ROMOSS line of power banks is popular outside of the USA. Especially in the Phillippines, where product selection is limited. It’ll fast charge most iPhone and Android models, excluding Huawei and OnePlus. And has enough capacity to keep a phone running for a week. Or a bunch of phones for long trip. It will also support the Nintendo Switch in handheld mode. It can recharge through one of several different ports. But stick with USB-C, as the others are slower. And you have a lot of battery to recharge.
At 30,000mAh you’ll need to check with your airline before you fly with a power bank this large. In the USA you’ll be fine with American, Delta, Southwest, and United. Internationally there will be more restrictions and enforcement of lithium battery limits.

Anker's more budget friendly, high capacity USB-C PD portable charger. It only offers up to 18W output. Allowing for fast charging of iPhone and many Android models. As well as tablets and the Nintendo Switch. But not enough to support small laptops, like most other larger Anker power banks. In return for the lower output it is at least $10 less than Anker's other, similar capacity models. And still includes a USB-C cable.

Top 5 Best Selling USB-C Wall Chargers on Amazon
February 2021
- Ports: USB-C
- Output: 20W USB-C PD
With the release of the iPhone 12 came a series of new 20W USB-C PD chargers, lead by Apple. When wired charging the iPhone 12 there's no difference between 20W and 18W, but if the price is the same or better you might as well go 20W. Apple's 20W USB-C charger is also the only one confirmed to power the MagSafe wireless charger for an iPhone 12 at full speed.

About the size of an iPhone’s 5W USB power adapter. But with most than three times the output. It’ll fast charge newer iPhones and most Androids for the same space and weight. Easy to see its appeal as a replacement or dedicated travel charger for modern smartphone owners. Its only downside is non-folding prongs.

Review of the Anker PowerPort III Nano
- Ports: USB-C
- Output: 20W USB-C PD
- MFi certified by Apple
- Includes USB-C to Lightning cable
One of many generic fast chargers aimed at the iPhone 12. Offers the same charging performance as most any other 18W or 20W charger for all iPhones and Androids supporting USB PD. These generics usually get into the top sellers list due to their lower cost or similar cost with a cable included.
This model opts for a design similar to Apple’s 20W charger. More wide than tall and with fixed prongs. Less ideal for travel but suitable if being left plugged in all the time.

The PowerPort PD 2 offers 18W USB-C PD and regular 12W on the USB-A port. The USB-C port will fast charge newer iPhones and Google Pixels. As well as pre-2018 iPad Pros and the Nintendo Switch in handheld mode.
Among Anker’s dual C + A port chargers this is the low end model. It offers the least amount of total output. And costs a few dollars less.
